Terms of Service

Last updated: June 27, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of PDFHandle (“PDFHandle”, “we”, “us”), available at pdfhandle.com, including our PDF-to-Excel conversion, verification, and related PDF tools (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

PDFHandle converts PDF documents into spreadsheets and provides additional PDF tools (such as merge, split, compress, OCR, and redaction). For supported document types we also run an arithmetic verification that reports a status (Verified, Review, Mismatch, or Unverified). This status is an automated, best-effort check to help you spot extraction issues; it is informational only and is not professional, financial, accounting, or legal advice.

2. Accounts and verification

Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, including a valid email address and, where requested, a phone number for verification, and to keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

3. Acceptable use

  • Do not upload content you do not have the right to process.
  • Do not use the Service for unlawful purposes or to infringe others’ rights.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or circumvent limits, rate limits, or security of the Service.
  • Do not resell or redistribute the Service except as expressly permitted (e.g., via our documented API within your plan).

4. Plans, billing, and subscriptions

The Service offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly unless stated) through our Merchant of Record, Paddle, and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown in USD; amounts displayed in other currencies are approximate. You are responsible for applicable taxes. We may change prices or plan features with reasonable notice; changes apply to subsequent billing periods.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel at any time from your account’s billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the current paid period. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

6. Your content

You retain all rights to the files you upload and the outputs you generate. You grant us a limited licence to process your files solely to provide the Service. We do not use your document contents to train models, and document contents are processed transiently and deleted shortly after processing (see our Privacy Policy).

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and verification logic, is owned by PDFHandle and protected by applicable laws. These Terms grant you no rights to our trademarks or software except the right to use the Service as intended.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. While we work hard on extraction quality and never report a false “Verified” status, automated conversion can contain errors; you are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDFHandle will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. You can delete your account from Settings, which removes your account data as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at PDFHandle’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Courts located there will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise.
